(Moxa) is a traditional Chinese Medical technique that uses the herb Mugwort to warm the body. Moxabustion therapy has been developed over the last 3,000 years. Mugwort has a unique ability to warm and strengthen the body, it is extremely good for cold, tired patients. We use rolled Moxa (looks like a cigar) over acupuncture points, on top of needles and hand rolled on top of burn cream on the body. We have used this extensively and it is a very safe procedure that also feels great!
The use of glass or plastic cups to create a vacuum on the skin. This draws the skin into the cup and causes a local congestion in the tissues.
